Gígjar is a son of the great Orri frá Þúfu. He scored 8.78 for ridden abilities with 9 for tölt, trot and form and on top of that 9.5 for his amazing spirit. He has got 7.98 for conformation and a total score of 8.46. At the age of 9 he received first prize for offspring.
Gígjar’s offspring are known for their spirit and expression. His highest judged son is Fláki frá Blesastöðum, who received 8,71 for ridden abilities and scored over 7,0 in Fivegait and T1. Many of Gígjars children are doing very well in sport. Several of them have appeared at the World Championships, the most famous of them being Herjólfur frá Ragnheiðarstöðum, who scored 7.93 in T1, Börkur frá Sólheimum, who scored 8.13 in T1 and Rosi frá Litlu-Brekku, who won a bronze medal in T2 at the WC in 2019.
